She always said: “You know better!”
And she was right⚡️

People change, friendships shift, and plans fall apart..and for a long time, that terrified me.

But one of the most important things I’ve learned is that no matter what changes around me, I will always have myself.

So this birthday, more than anything, I’m celebrating that. The fact that I know myself a little better than I did last year & that I trust myself more

evdklar In movies, plot twists are dramatic and cinematic.

But not in real life for sure.. My plot twist looks like this:
You’re packing for London, expecting your birthday trip with your man, cake ordered, dress tailored, but 5 days before your flight..
You find out you need a visa.
You apply. Too late.

The trip was planned to be long, because you also wanted to come see my family in Russia, hug your grandma who is fighting cancer. The trip is cancelled.

Next day — your grandmother passes away.
Instead of day of travels it’s the day of funeral.

Your birthday in 2 days.
You’re not going to celebrate it the way you planned or in a mood you wanted, but somehow life keeps moving.

& It’s not beautiful, it’s just real
