vanilace Vacation mode is finally ON. ✈️🌊

And thanks to working for a European company, I’m finally taking a proper two-week vacation… something I’ve definitely learned from my European colleagues, and I have been looking forward to it for a long time.

So, what am I packing?

Let’s be honest… I’m definitely not a light packer. 😅 But I do try to get the most out of everything I bring.

Here’s my strategy:

✨ First, I choose a few “hero outfits”—the looks I know I want to photograph during the trip.

✨ Then I build the rest around timeless neutrals that can all be mixed and matched. Sticking to a neutral color palette means almost everything works together, so I can create lots of different outfits without overpacking.

✨ And finally, accessories do the heavy lifting. Switching up bags, shoes, jewelry, and earrings completely changes a look without taking up much space.

Now… wish me luck because I’m trying to fit it all into one suitcase. 🤞😂

Yes, this reel is satire. 😄 And yes… I’m guilty of checking my emails on vacation because I genuinely love what I do.

Before I leave, I always make sure my out-of-office includes the right contacts for anything urgent, so people know exactly who to reach while I’m away. Then I turn off my Outlook notifications… but every now and then, I still find myself checking my inbox.

I’m getting better at it, though. I’ve realized that fully disconnecting is part of recharging. The emails will still be there when I get back, but this view won’t. 🤍

One short flight, and you’re in Bermuda — home to pink sand beaches, crystal-clear turquoise water, and colorful island charm.

What surprised me most is how easy it is to get there. It’s just a 2-hour nonstop flight from Boston and even shorter from New York, making it a perfect destination for a long weekend or a quick tropical escape.

You can fly to Bermuda with BermudAir, JetBlue, Delta, American Airlines, and United (depending on your departure city). We decided to try BermudAir, and absolutely loved the experience. Friendly service, a smooth flight, and the perfect start to our vacation.
