I’ve just added a brand new lesson to BASE called:

“How Renaissance Artists Measured Space: Alberti’s Measuring Method”

And honestly… this might be one of my favorite additions to the course.

In this short but fascinating lesson, we dive into the origins of perspective drawing and explore how artists of the Renaissance approached depth, proportion, and spatial construction centuries ago.

schoolofsketching New Zealand autumn is beautiful… but I can’t stop thinking that it’s spring in Italy right now.

Florence memories.

One summer, the heat there was so intense that my friends and I decided to live at night instead. We wandered through the empty streets of Florence after midnight, and it felt like a scene from Midnight in Paris by Woody Allen… just in Italy instead of Paris.
