But I feel neither nostalgia nor regret.
Visiting Pyramiden in Svalbard felt almost like going home again — back to Leninsk-Kuznetsky in Siberia, back to my school. Everything felt painfully familiar: the architecture, the atmosphere, the symbols, the spirit of that era.

Yes, the Soviet empire was powerful. To build an entire town at the edge of the world, a place hardly anyone really needed, largely to demonstrate its presence and “show the West” — there is something strikingly similar to Putin’s Russia today: enormous ambitions where common sense seems to matter much less.
But that empire was also cruel, ruthless, and soulless. To me, communism is a utopia that came at an enormous human cost. I hate it. Capitalism, for all its flaws, is still the best system humanity has come up with. Entrepreneurs — people who create, take risks, build things, and bring new ideas to life — are the ones who truly change the world for the better.
After visiting the Russian settlement of Pyramiden, I felt even less desire to return to Russia. Formally, it is a different country now. But sometimes it feels like the USSR all over again — just in different packaging

Большой спорт давно про большие деньги. Я про ощущения, комфорт(они лучше тормозят) и не хочу быть «жертвой маркетинга».

Попросил Эрнесто Колнаго сделать классическую раму, по-блату сделали. Пожалуй, единственная новая Colnago с крабами и Campagnolo Bora в мире😇.

Вот это настоящий велосипед.
И да — дешевле, чем все эти диски-разводняк😉
