I truly believe that debriefing:

- is a great learning tool

- must be a part of at least 90% of the dives, including fun dives

- increases learning efficiency to an unexpected level

- is often underestimated by many divers

- increases the ability to judge different circumstances, even those you never dived before.

- trains your environmental awareness
- makes you a safer diver in all aspects
When you can reflect on the dive, and find out what you can do better next time, it always adds one extra coin in the SAFETY pot.

Hundreds of Divemaster and Instructor candidates took my experience and knowledge with them, and yet most of you have never dived with me.

This video is very special to me. Here you see diving through my eyes, here you can see what I love the most. Things I will never get tired of.

In this video precious underwater moments of my total happiness.

I can watch endless scenes of glass fish living their lives.
I never get tired of searching for tiny invisible shrimps.
I can forget about the time looking at the” oily surface” of the water just before sunset.

It is my true happiness to notice all these little things in the water and still enjoy them after so many years spent underwater.

Proper weighting
At the surface, in water too deep to stand, have student divers practice weighing for neutral buoyancy. They should float at eye level at the surface with no or minimal air in the BCD while holding normal breath.

This skill is crucial for comfort and safety during the dive.
•Being overweight will make it difficult to maintain buoyancy control.
•Being underweight might lead to a struggle at the end of the dive and an uncontrolled ascent.
