alinaashepel If I were building a collection with no budget constraints, these are the works I would keep coming back to. Each of them reflects something I value in art: Picasso’s ability to reinvent visual language, Chagall’s deeply personal mythology, and Hockney’s constant experimentation with perception, colour and technology. One of the things I love most about following the auction market is that it offers a rare opportunity to see extraordinary works gathered in one place, even if they’re about to disappear into private collections again. For me, collecting art is ultimately about choosing the works you would want to live alongside. #artcollector #contemporaryart #artmarket #auctionhighlights #artcollecting

alinaashepel I've always been drawn to artists who aren't afraid to engage with deeply personal themes. Louise Bourgeois spent much of her career exploring memory, relationships, childhood, and vulnerability, transforming intensely private experiences into some of the most recognisable sculptures of the twentieth century. While many people know her through Maman, the monumental spider that has become an icon of contemporary art, her practice extended far beyond a single work. Over seven decades, she developed a visual language that continues to influence generations of artists working today. What I find particularly compelling about Bourgeois is her ability to transform personal experiences into tangible forms. Her sculptures, drawings, and installations often emerged from intimate memories and emotions, yet they continue to resonate with audiences far beyond her own biography. Few artists have explored the relationship between memory, trauma, and identity with such persistence and formal inventiveness throughout an entire career. #louisebourgeois #contemporaryart #artcollector #artadvisory #artlovers

alinaashepel I’ve always been interested in artists who build a dialogue between the past and the present. Flora Yukhnovich does exactly that. Drawing from the visual language of Rococo painting, she reinterprets it through abstraction, colour and gesture, creating works that feel contemporary without losing their historical references. What I find particularly interesting is how recognisable her paintings have become in such a short period of time. Even without knowing the title or the artist, you immediately understand whose work you’re looking at. One of the most distinctive voices in contemporary painting today. #FloraYukhnovich #ContemporaryPainting #ArtCollectors #ArtMarket #ContemporaryArt
