It’s been 65 years since Yuri Gagarin made the first flight into space. This achievement led to the creation of the watch brand Raketa (meaning in Russian “space-rocket”), which is also celebrating its 65th anniversary this year. To mark the date, Raketa is launching its Baikonur watch, a unique model designed for cosmonauts.

When designing the Raketa “Baikonur” watch, we collaborated with cosmonauts to meet their exact needs. The video showcases not only the model but also the detailed assembly process, where every component is built for the precision and functionality required on the ISS. The minimalist, lab-inspired visuals emphasize the watch’s core idea: it is a tool born from human ingenuity and the challenges of space engineering.

При создании часов Ракета «Байконур» мы консультировались с космонавтами, чтобы учесть их требования к часам. На видео вы видите не только финальный результат, но и процесс сборки, где каждая деталь работает на точность и функциональность, необходимую в условиях МКС. «Стерильная» эстетика видеоряда подчеркивает главную концепцию: часы «Байконур» — это инструмент, рожденный из человеческих достижений и строгих требований космической инженерии.

Each piece is handcrafted and molded into the refined shape of a winding crown, featuring the Raketa Watch Factory logo styled as a pallet fork. There is a shared philosophy between the rhythmic ticking of a mechanical watch and the elegant shape of a chocolate piece: both are artifacts crafted by skilled masters.
