evgenia_ermilova It's not always possible to immediately nail the color or composition. Sometimes you finish a painting and realize something went wrong at the beginning, but by the end you've really gotten the hang of it, "getting into the swing of things," as they say...
And now part of the painting is light, airy, and bold... and part is dark, constricted, and crumpled. In such cases, you have a choice: accept it or redo what you didn't like. But I don't look for easy ways, so I always choose the path to perfection. Otherwise, I'll hate the piece.

Tell me about your experience. Do you rework? And on what scale?

Не всегда получается сразу угадать цвет или композицию. Иногда закончишь картину, и понимаешь, что в начале что-то пошло не так, а к финалу уже почувствовала, "разошлась", как говорится...
И вот теперь часть картины светлая, воздушная, смелая... а часть мрачная, зажатая, скомканая. В таких случаях есть выбор: смириться или переделать то что не понравилось. Но я не ищу легких путей, поэтому всегда выбираю дорогу к идеалу. Иначе возненавижу данное произведение.

Расскажите о своем опыте, переделываете? И в каких масштабах.

I love peony buds precisely for their sepals. They are so distinctive and recognizable. What's so important in sculptural painting is finding a flower's defining detail and conveying its form using a limited set of elements.

In my online sculptural painting school, we study in detail all the elements and methods of creating three-dimensional images, explore over 15 flowers, learn to paint pictures, and create interior objects using flowers in the sculptural painting technique.

And what gave birth to sculptural painting? Was it the material that can hold such volume? Or was the paste for sculptural painting invented out of the necessity for something like it?

I think, just like with the chicken, it's not so straightforward...

The egg and the chicken emerged because of each other over many millennia, gradually evolving from dinosaurs, and before that, from some ancient fish, which in turn grew from a few cells in the primordial soup.

Sculptural painting was also born gradually. It absorbed the DNA of painting, sculpture, and bas-relief, demanding a paste and, thanks to it, gradually evolving, building up volume, color, and form...

Что появилось вначале? Курица или яйцо?
А благодаря чему родилать скульптурная живопись? Благодаря материалу, который держит такой объем? Или паста для скульптурной живописи была изобретена благодаря необходимости появления чего-то подобного?
Думаю как и с курицей не все так однозначно...
Яйцо и курица появлялись благодаря друг другу много тысячелетий, постепенно эволюционируя из динозавров, а до этого из какой-то древней рыбы, которая в свою очередь выросла из нескольких клеток в первичном бульоне.
Скульптурная живопись также рождалась постепенно, впитав днк живописи, скульптуры, барельефа, требуя пасту и благодаря ей постепенно эволюционируя, наращивая объем, цвет и форму...
