But arriving here I started noticing the past of Nazaré peeking through: dresses of women, textile shops, street art was hinting about a century long tradition of fishing. And it wasn’t just work, it was everything! Daily life was wrapped around fishing – and formed a unique cultural and fashion phenomenon.

It felt like a discovery of a lifetime: the guy, who I never heard of, travelled across the world with his Gaumont camera when there was no way to buy a place ticket and go to Burma, Austria, Russia or Japan. It was somewhere between 1910 and 1940 when Burton Holmes became first ever travel influencer inventing the term TRAVELOGUE. And thanks god@he did!
