Now @beerkus and I are going through a really interesting chapter of life.
We moved to New York — leaving behind our friends, our parents, the familiar places, objects, smells, and habits that made up our home.
This year feels like a full reset. Everything is new. New people. New routines. New rules.
We’re learning how to make friends again, how to find ourselves in a new city, how to communicate in a language that still feels foreign sometimes.
And this whole experience has brought us even closer.
We’ve become real best friends to each other.
Sometimes we even have more fun just the two of us than in loud crowds.
Do you know that feeling when you get tired of people — even the ones you love?
With Vanya, it’s not like that. We can spend 24/7 together — doing things or doing nothing — and we’re still not tired of each other.
Have you ever felt something like that? Especially after moving to a new country and starting everything from scratch?
I’d love to hear if you’ve gone through a similar kind of reset.
